- Find out who you are:
Spend 5 minutes a day and create a list with two columns – one for likes, and one for dislikes. Make sure to write at least 10 under each column every day. By the end of a week, you will have a lot of insight into what you truly like and dislike. Use this list to spend more time focusing on the things you enjoy– reading, writing, nature, etc. And spend less time doing the things that don’t make you happy. If you hate walking the dog but love nature then find a dog park where you can sit and relax and let the dog walk himself!
- Go on an adventure:
Are you feeling “blah”? Do you feel like it’s a struggle to get through the day? If you are just getting up and going through the motions then it’s time to spice up your life with a little adventure. Of course no one is saying go skydiving – unless that is your thing – but you can add small adventures throughout your week or month. Jump on Yelp and find a new restaurant or place to visit. Or if you want to save money, try a site like Groupon or Livingsocial to find new activity and save a little money in the process.
- Create the life you want to live:
Between work, family and responsibilities life can be overwhelming. Setting goals can help you get to where you want to be. Whether it’s a major goal like buying a house, buying a new car, getting a new job or getting a handle on your debt. It could be a more personal goal such as eating better, working out, or meditating. Discover what will create the life you dream about and go for it!
