Janine Ortega’s My Education Solutions journey began in 2014 and has taken her from intern to inspiring leader. Janine joined the MES team right out of college, bringing a fresh (and very recent!) perspective of the debt challenges students face after graduation. Determined and ambitious, Janine immediately showed initiative and management potential devising new and efficient business models and processes, taking risks, and developing staff.

Janine holds a Bachelor of Arts in Consumer Affairs from Texas State University and has an extensive background in the financial relief industry. Having student loans herself, she has a clear understanding of the hardship they can cause. Her first-hand experience and passion for helping others find relief from their debt to live the life they’ve always imagined have driven her growth at My Education Solutions. Her core values of progress and perseverance are evident, as she has risen through the ranks to the position of Operations Manager. She loves her team and leads with a servant’s heart for her employees. Janine is also a Certified Student Loan Debt Specialist through the International Association of Professional Debt Arbitrators.

Janine currently serves as chair for the social committee of the North Chamber Leadership Lab Alumni Board and is involved in women’s empowerment groups such as Together Digital and the American Football Coaches Wives Association. An active volunteer, she is proud to be part of the San Antonio Food Bank’s Hope to Home Program.

When she’s not mentoring her team or inspiring other women in business, one of her favorite pastimes is a little R&R, preferably on a tropical beach with her husband. Around the office, she’s best known for her confidence and drive, insightful conversations, and her famous cat that was a viral Internet sensation. Yep – ambition runs in the family!
